3 Year Old:

A spirit that is incredibly smooth and versatile. Perfect for mixing cocktails.

Laid down in oak barrels for at least 3 years, this rum is then double filtered through natural charcoal to remove colour.

TASTE & AROMA

Citrus and vanilla nose enhanced by notes of chocolate and raisins. Smooth rounded palate with coconut – fruity with a dry rounded finish. Balanced yet full flavoured.

El Dorado Daiquiri

5 Year Old:

This remarkably developed and complex rum has a distinctive delicate taste and is aged for a minimum of five years.

Aged for a minimum of five years in Bourbon oak barrels.

Its unique character comes from the skilful blending of demerara aged rums from the Uitvlugt Savalle Still and the Enmore Wooden Coffey Still.

TASTE & AROMA

Lively with a dried tropical fruit nose with aromas of caramel, butterscotch and molasses. A vibrant spicy entry leads to an evolving palate of fruit, caramel and toasted coconut, fading to a vanilla-tinted glow.

El Dorado Swizzle

8 Year Old:

The El Dorado 8 year old is a complex fusion of a full flavoured, heavy bodied rum with light-to-medium bodied rums. A sumptuous smooth sipping rum which can also form the basis of memorable cocktails.

METHOD

A blend of heavy-bodied rum with light-to-medium bodied rums aged in bourbon oak casks.

TASTE & AROMA

Light to medium-bodied nose with hints of tobacco mixed with caramel. Faint aroma of dried stone fruits and flambéed banana. Soft and faintly sweet mouth feel with traces of oak and butterscotch. Distinctly smooth.

El Dorado Mai Tai

12 Year Old:

A great 12 year old Demerara rum. This has won golds at the Caribbean Rum Taste Test in London 7 times in the first 10 years! There are nine stills at the distillery, and this is based around coffey still rum, and double wooden pot still rum.

Blended 12 year old rums with an estery richness acquired from the EHP Wooden Coffey and Metal Coffey stills.

TASTE & AROMA

Lush tropical fruit and spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar. Mellow, full bodied with rich flavours of fruits and spice. A delightful, elegant and dry finish.

El Dorado Old Fashioned

El Dorado Super Premium Rums

15 Year Old:

The El Dorado 15 year old is artfully blended using marques from the EHP Wooden Coffey, the Metal Coffey, the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still and the Versailles Single Wooden Pot Still.

Full nose packed with dark coffee, candied orange, almonds, dark chocolate, pepper and vanilla. Flavours of grilled tropical fruit with smooth oaky spice.

21 Year Old:

This richly crafted rum has been laid down in oak barrels for at least 21 years then artfully blended for you to savour and enjoy.

A nose of mocha, toffee, tobacco and dark spices. On the mouth this rum is velvety smooth with full body of tropical fruits, coffee, leather and rich toffee. The finish is nutty and smoky.

25 Year Old:

Created to mark the turn of the millennium, this exquisite vintage rum possesses a silky smoothness which challenges the oldest cognac. The constant ambient warmth and tropical conditions of Demerara dramatically hasten the maturation process.

This rum is rich, smooth and mellow with silky smooth mouthfeel and subtle notes of caramel and heavy fruit cake. An after dinner treat for sipping slowly and sparingly.

Description

The El Dorado Rum range is the latest addition to the CASK portfolio. Created on the banks of the Demerera in Guyana, El Dorado rums are full of tradition, flavour and diversity. The story of rum started back in the 1640s when sugar cane was introduced by the European settlers. In the following 30 years the Demerara Rum production was laid down with the establishment of distilling into the new territories by the British. The El Dorado Rum's range from 3 - 25 years old, with the age of each rum being representative of the youngest rum in the blend.
