METHOD

Distilled in small batches and matured on site in exclusively first-fill sherry and bourbon casks

Forest fruits and creamy malt, rich lasting Sherry notes and just a touch of our signature Benromach smoke

Cracked black pepper, charred oak, apples, dark chocolate and forest fruits with rich sherry notes and a touch of smoke.

ABOUT

Part of the Benromach Contrasts range for it’s distinctly different profile Small batch whisky from Benromach made with heavily peated barley.

 

METHOD

Benromach Peat Smoke is matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 46%.

 

TASTE & AROMA

It offers fragrant vanilla notes, which lead to lemon sherbet and apricot, finishing with smoky bonfire embers.

‘Current Times’ with sweet vermouth, red currant and Picon

 

Benromach Organic

ABOUT

Part of the Benromach Contrasts range for it’s distinctly different profile. The world’s first certified organic single malt whisky since 2006, UK Soil Association accredited from start to finish.

 

METHOD

Organic Malted barley aged in 100% virgin American Oak casks, bottled at 46%.

 

TASTE & AROMA

Sweet vanilla and malty mix with soft pepper and butterscotch, banana, coffee and cocoa flavours. A long finish with aniseed and cocoa powder.

 

RECOMMENDED SERVES

‘Super Organic’ with banana liqueur and woodruff shrub

 

Benromach Kiln Dried 

ABOUT

It’s a natural part of the hand-made philosophy at Benromach that, every now and then, we like to tweak things and experiment in order to understand our whisky even better.  It is widely believed that up to 70% of the flavour of a whisky comes from the cask it is aged in. This contrasts edition focuses on the process the oak is dried after felling, before being reader for cooperage into a barrel.

 

METHOD

This limited-edition release has been matured in kiln dried Virgin Oak barrels

 

TASTE & AROMA

Sweet malted biscuit aromas with lemon and apple. Creamy and fruity flavours are followed by barley sugar and mixed tropical fruit. Subtle smoke and menthol on the finish

Benromach 40 Year Old

ABOUT

Released in limited quantities and bottled at cask strength.

 

METHOD

Matured in the highest quality Sherry Casks for 40 years, bottled at 57.6%.

 

TASTE & AROMA

Fragrant cinnamon spice and stewed red berries on the nose, developing into a palate of Morello cherry, rich dark chocolate and fruit cake. The finish is full with forest fruits and mature oak.
