Rare Dry Gin  41.8% ABV – It’s spicy but with great citrus, a truly modern Australian gin which captures the essence of contemporary Australia’s heritage in Europe and Asia. Four Pillar’s use whole oranges which is unusual but the citrus is highly aromatic and supports the spicier botanicals like cardamom.

Bloody Shiraz Gin 37.8% ABVThe 2019 followed the same principles as 2018, harvesting some Shiraz early, looking for spice and red berry characters, and a second parcel later in the season to build colour, sweetness and darker fruit flavours. The resulting colour remains a deep, rich, reddish purple. There’s straight pine forest juniper notes followed by white pepper, dark berries and spices. The palate is beautifully balanced with both sweetness and gin in spades, and some nice tannins on the finish.

Spiced Negroni Gin 43.8% ABV – Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin is a highly aromatic, rich and (yes) spicy gin with great power and intensity. They took the base botanicals and upped the amount of Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon. Then they added an exotic West African spice called Grains of Paradise. This is one of the most unusual spices in the world, with clove and sichuan characters.

Navy Strength Gin 58.8% ABV – The gin has lifted aromatics of lime curd, pine needles, and fragrant spices with a vanilla character which pulls the spices together. The palate is intense, sweet and juicy, but it is still very clean. The turmeric has added weight and earthiness to the palate with a quality not unlike dill or cucumber.
